Full time GP Registrar
The full time registrar is at the Practice 4½ days a week and attends the half day GP registrars' course on Wednesday afternoon at Scarborough. Our registrars usually come to us for 6 months as part of their 3 year Vocational Training Scheme, which also includes 2 years of relevant hospital posts. A GP registrar is a fully qualified doctor who is gaining further experience in general practice. As such, registrars are competent to see any patients on their own, but they do always have a partner available for advice if required. They also do a share in the out of hours service provided by the Practice. |
